Just wanted to give a big thanks to John at the new Gorham Bike and Ski shop in Kennebunk. I was recently over vacationing in Maine and had stopped by the shop because I had a problem with my bike. John took the time to go online and solve the problem that I have been dealing with since the bike was built earlier this year. Needless to say, the bike is now running in tip-top shape and I would recommend anyone out there who is having mechanic issues with their bike to not hesitate to go see the boys at Gorham Bike Ski.
When it comes to local bike shops you can have the greatest bikes and the largest assortment of parts and accessories, but the people make the difference. Most local bike stores will treat you wonderfully when spending the big dollars on a high end bike however tend to forget you're face or name the second you ride out the front door. Gbs is different in this way, whenever I pop in to grab a new set of grips or even just to fill a water bottle from their tap they remember my name, ask about local trail conditions where I ride and ask how I've been. It's refreshing to deal with people like Dave Albert and Jon Foster who ride the places I ride and care enough to share their passion with even the newest riders.
